Watch party
Bestie keeps every player in the room on the same frame. One person hits pause and the whole room stops. Chat and reactions sit beside the picture instead of on a second device.
Free to start · One link invites everyone · Guests need no account

The hard part
Two players started at the same instant will not stay together. Networks stutter, devices decode at slightly different rates, and a phone on mobile data is not a laptop on fibre. Left alone, a room drifts apart within minutes.
Bestie measures each viewer against the room clock several times a second. Small gaps are closed by nudging playback speed by a fraction of a percent, too little to hear or see. Only a gap too large to nudge away is corrected with a seek.
In the room
A watch party falls apart when half of it lives in another app.
The room holds one clock. Everyone is measured against it and quietly corrected before they notice they slipped.
Messages land beside the picture, not on your phone. Reactions float over the frame and fade on their own.
Push to talk or open mic, with the film ducking under whoever is speaking. Leave it off and the room stays a text room.
Guests can join from the link without signing up. Make the room private and only the people you let in get past the door.
Decide who can pause and seek. Hand the remote to someone else, or lock the room once everyone has arrived.
Line up what comes next so the room rolls on instead of stalling while somebody hunts for the next episode.
Works with
Bestie does not host anything and does not stream video between viewers. Each person plays from their own source; Bestie only keeps the players lined up.
Bestie is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by any service named above, and it does not supply, host or redistribute their content. Everyone in the room watches from their own account.
Pricing
The sync engine is the same on both plans. Paying raises the limits.

Questions
Yes. Bestie lines players up; it does not supply the video. Everyone in the room watches from their own account on whatever service the film is on, exactly as they would alone.
No. The only thing a room exchanges is a position on the timeline, a play state and chat. The picture never leaves the device it is playing on, which is why the sync holds up on a slow connection.
Their player keeps going locally and the room notices the gap. When they come back, Bestie puts them where the room is rather than where they left off, so nobody waits for one person to catch up.
Yes. A late joiner opens the link and starts at the room's current position. There is no re-sync ritual and nothing for the host to press.
Turn on host controls and only the host can pause or seek. You can hand the remote to someone else at any point, or lock the room so nobody new arrives mid-film.
